Recent Upgrades to our Price Comparison Toolbar
Saturday, September 15th, 2007
If you happen to be one of the satisfied regular users of the Where2LookOnline Price Comparison Toolbar, you may have already noticed some recent changes that we have made to the look of your toolbar as well as the addition of some new features. Unfortunately however, this recent changes led to some old features either being replaced or removed.
Probably the most glaring change is the removal of the eBay and Amazon category buttons. As you may already know, toolbar space is very valuable to our users because of the many personalized options that are offered. Since, products from Amazon are easily found throughout our price comparison search engine and eBay auctions are included within every search of our site, we decided the two buttons were no longer needed.
However, in order to give our toolbar users a new unique component, we have added the capability of site search to our toolbar. You can now directly search Where2LookOnline right from your toolbar without having to visit the site first! Toolbar users can now simply type their search query string into the search bar as usual, but before hitting enter or clicking the “GO” arrow, if they click on the magnifying glass or “search” icon, a drop down menu will appear. By selecting “Search where2lookonline” (as seen in the image to the right) a site search of Where2LookOnline for the search query entered will be performed. Alternatively, when toolbar users select “Search”, a regular Google powered search will be performed (as always) and by selecting “Search This Site”, the toolbar will perform a site search of whichever site you are currently visiting on the world wide web.
We think that our users will agree that this is a valuable addition to their toolbar, but we’re not done yet! Another important recent addition to our toolbar is the Top Searches button. Clicking on the new Top Searches button will open a small window containing our Top Searches widget which displays the Top 10 Most Popular Searches by category at Where2LookOnline. This valuable tool helps comparison shoppers keep abreast of what’s popular and what other people are searching for the most. While visitors to Where2LookOnline can find our Top Searches widget placed on various pages throughout the site, this addition gives our valued toolbar users greater access to another quality search tool.
Last, but certainly not least, we would also like to announce that we have added VacationCompare.com to our Travel Deals button. Toolbar users can now quickly request a quote and compare offers from leading travel agencies and save up to 85% from the biggest names in travel. Best of all, through our Travel Deals button, VacationCompare.com is only one click away!
We hope that all of our valued toolbar users find these recent additions useful and would like to invite everyone to download the Where2LookOnline Price Comparison Toolbar today to make your browser better and your online shopping experience much, much easier.
As always, if you’re a toolbar user and you’d like to coment on the recent additions, please feel free to comment on this post or send us some anonymous feedback. Happy Shopping!
