Recent Upgrades to our Price Comparison Toolbar

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

Check out the recent upgrades of our Price Comparison Toolbar! If you happen to be one of the satisfied regular users of the Where2LookOnline Price Comparison Toolbar, you may have already noticed some recent changes that we have made to the look of your toolbar as well as the addition of some new features. Unfortunately however, this recent changes led to some old features either being replaced or removed.

Probably the most glaring change is the removal of the eBay and Amazon category buttons. As you may already know, toolbar space is very valuable to our users because of the many personalized options that are offered. Since, products from Amazon are easily found throughout our price comparison search engine and eBay auctions are included within every search of our site, we decided the two buttons were no longer needed.

Now you can Search Where2LookOnline directly from your toolbar! However, in order to give our toolbar users a new unique component, we have added the capability of site search to our toolbar. You can now directly search Where2LookOnline right from your toolbar without having to visit the site first! Toolbar users can now simply type their search query string into the search bar as usual, but before hitting enter or clicking the “GO” arrow, if they click on the magnifying glass or “search” icon, a drop down menu will appear. By selecting “Search where2lookonline” (as seen in the image to the right) a site search of Where2LookOnline for the search query entered will be performed. Alternatively, when toolbar users select “Search”, a regular Google powered search will be performed (as always) and by selecting “Search This Site”, the toolbar will perform a site search of whichever site you are currently visiting on the world wide web.

Now you can see the Top Ten Searches performed at Where2LookOnline directly from your toolbarWe think that our users will agree that this is a valuable addition to their toolbar, but we’re not done yet! Another important recent addition to our toolbar is the Top Searches button. Clicking on the new Top Searches button will open a small window containing our Top Searches widget which displays the Top 10 Most Popular Searches by category at Where2LookOnline. This valuable tool helps comparison shoppers keep abreast of what’s popular and what other people are searching for the most. While visitors to Where2LookOnline can find our Top Searches widget placed on various pages throughout the site, this addition gives our valued toolbar users greater access to another quality search tool.

Last, but certainly not least, we would also like to announce that we have added VacationCompare.com to our Travel Deals button. Toolbar users can now quickly request a quote and compare offers from leading travel agencies and save up to 85% from the biggest names in travel. Best of all, through our Travel Deals button, VacationCompare.com is only one click away!

We hope that all of our valued toolbar users find these recent additions useful and would like to invite everyone to download the Where2LookOnline Price Comparison Toolbar today to make your browser better and your online shopping experience much, much easier.

As always, if you’re a toolbar user and you’d like to coment on the recent additions, please feel free to comment on this post or send us some anonymous feedback. Happy Shopping!

What To Look For In The Best Rated MP3 Players

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

Compare prices on MP3 players at Where2LookOnline Mp3 players are quickly taking over the portable music category. First it was 8 track tapes, then cassette tapes, then CDs, and now mp3 players. Of course, CD players are still used by many, but mp3 players have so many advantages that they are gaining ground fast, especially among younger music listeners. There are plenty of portable mp3 player reviews available now and they all emphasize certain features that count the most, and here they are:

1) You will need to have software to help you manage and convert your song files into a file format that your particular mp3 player can recognize and play, and as your song portfolio grows, you will need to be able to keep track of songs and keep them organized too. So the software that comes with your mp3 player should help you do all of that easily and quickly.

2) Look for a portable mp3 player that lets you enhance and control the sound to your liking too. The best rated mp3 players are coming with sound equalizers built right into the unit to let you customize the listening experience for each song, or just find the general settings that helps you enjoy the music most.

3) The controls you will find on even cheap portable mp3 players include volume settings, forward and reverse, play and pause. These are all pretty standard, but you should also look for the ability to repeat songs, either one at a time or the entire song set. A randomizing feature is also good to have to mix up the song order and keep the music fresh.

4) Make sure that your mp3 player can be upgraded too. The best rated mp3 players have the ability to upgrade the firmware, or the player’s operating system, to keep it up to date. This is pretty important as the mp3 player world is still fairly new and changes are being made all the time requiring upgrades. If you have a player that lacks an upgrade path, you could very quickly be left behind and with an obsolete player.

5) The best rated mp3 players also conserve power well. There is a wide variance between portable mp3 players in this area, so check the stats in advance to see what you can expect. Some run out of battery power in just a few hours while others can go days on the same set of batteries, and the longer battery life you have the less hassle you should experience with having to unexpectedly change the batteries at an inopportune time.

There are many portable mp3 player reviews on the web that will help you find the model that will best fit your needs, but in most mp3 player comparisons the features mentioned above were important to those who regularly use their player.

NHL Introduces New RBK Edge Team Jerseys

Friday, September 7th, 2007

New RBK Edge NHL Team Jerseys
Back in January of this year, the National Hockey League (NHL) announced that all 30 NHL teams would be switching to new uniforms for the 2007-08 season. Brian Jennings, the NHL’s executive vice president of consumer products marketing described the new uniforms as sleeker, lighter, more durable hockey uniforms from Reebok that will enable players to skate faster with greater range of motion, while staying drier and cooler on the ice. Hockey fans got their first look at the new “Rbk Edge” uniforms from official outfitter Reebok during the 2007 All-Star Game on Jan. 24. New technology incorporated into the jerseys is aimed at increasing performance.

The uniforms are 14% lighter in pregame weight, water repellent “Bead Away” technology allows the new duds to retain 76% less moisture. The ventilated “Play Dry” fabric helps wick away sweat and heat buildup, keeping players 4 to 10 degrees cooler, which the NHL hopes will translate into faster, “less fatigued” players this upcoming season.

Most of the 30 NHL teams have since released their new RBK Edge NHL Team jerseys for the upcoming season and fans can now get their very own to wear to games or around town to show support. If you’re interested in getting one you can compare prices on RBK Edge NHL Team jerseys at Where2LookOnline or you can check out our preferred source, IceJerseys.com
