Some of you may have already noticed, but for those who haven’t yet, we would like to announce the addition of Peel Away Ads to Where2LookOnline. That’s right, that means that we have just added yet another way for you to find out about the best deals and offers online when you visit our site.

If you look in the top right corner of most pages of our site, you will now notice that corner to have a “page ear” look to it. If you move your mouse over the corner, the page will “Peel” back to reveal a special deal, sale, offer, free trial, coupon etc., that we are promoting. These ads will rotate between our most exclusive offers, or point to certain “Must See” pages of our website. Whenever you roll your mouse over one of these ads, if you’re interested in learning more about the offer, simply click on the ad, and it will open in a new window or tab for you to view further information about the offer. Remember, as we said, these offers rotate, so check back often or “Peel” one of our Peel Away Ads when on different pages of our site to make sure you don’t miss out.

Another thing that we would like to point out is that we have also changed the header of our blog to coincide with the addition of our new Peel Away Ads. We think that this will also create more flow and continuity from our website to our blog. we hope you like the new changes. That’s why here at Where2LookOnline, we have decided to put together a special section of our site to help our users sort through the mountain of special offers and promotions in addition to our comparison shopping engine. We’ve trimmed the fat and we’re providing you a page of Featured Promotions that we think you absolutely need to know about. These offers may include sales, coupons, deals, rebates, price drops, special offers, or just outright great products. We’ll update them as they expire and add new promotions as they come, so come back often. You won’t want to miss out an anything we promote there.

We just wanted to write this quick post to keep all of our users informed about some recent and/or upcoming changes to our price comparison toolbar. Due to the ever changing technology associated with community toolbars and the Internet in general, it is necessary that we often update our price comparison toolbar in order to stay at the forefront of functionality and customer service. When making decisions on changes, our users, and how they will benefit from any changes are always the first things on our minds.

That being said, within the next few days, users of our toolbar should see some changes. While these are not sweeping changes that will drastically change our toolbar’s objectives, they should improve the toolbar’s value to our user. The most noted change will be to our BLOG feed button. We plan to add a notification function to the button that will let our users know when a new post has been made to our blog. The notification function will work much like an e-mail inbox. When a new post is made to our blog, your toolbar will let you know that you have a new “message” waiting with some text beside the BLOG button. Clicking on the BLOG button when you see this message will be just like checking your inbox. Messages/posts from Where2LookOnline will be displayed in sequence from newest to oldest. Once this new function is added, we will send a message/post immediately so our users will know that it’s available. Since we update our blog with posts quite frequently, we believe that this new function will help our users get every message and keep them from missing out on anything.

Another small change will be made to our Travel Deals button. Unfortunately, we will be removing the option to compare prices on travel deals from VacationCompare.com sometime between now and the end of February due to their affiliate program being terminated. As they will no longer be offering their service to affiliates, we will no longer be able to provide it as an option to our users that are looking to find Travel Deals. However, users will still have access to search the Best Travel Deals from all of our other current Travel partners.

The last change at this time, will be the removal of the Gadgets, Games and Tools button from our toolbar. Through testing and user feedback, it has been determined this button was not used enough by our users, nor did it fit well within the theme of our toolbar. As space on our toolbar is very valuable, we will be looking at other options in the future to replace this button.

As we stated earlier, from time to time it is necessary for us to make changes to our price comparison toolbar in order to stay at the forefront of functionality and customer service. We assure you that none of these changes are ever made without serious discussion and they are always made with the benefits to our users in mind. Where2LookOnline can now be found on the Bebo Platform! That’s right, we now have our very own Where2LookOnline profile page on Bebo.

Bebo is a hot new online community that is hoping to provide a fresh alternative to Facebook. They have experienced tremendous growth since they opened up their platform to individual developers much like Facebook has seen since the introduction of it’s own developers platform. While there are similarities between Bebo and Facebook, Bebo does provide some differences in the way of customizing your profile and giving it your own look. Many of their users have flocked to this concept, eager to express themselves as an individual to their friends, as well as the rest of the world. Many new Bebo users even have a page on both platforms to help stay connected with their friends around the world or to even make some new ones.
