Little did we know that we had been working toward the solution all along. We just needed to do it on a much larger scale.

Therefore, we decided to make a huge update to our comparison shopping engine. And when we say huge, we mean HUGE! In fact, in the latest update, we added over 390 new merchants to our list of trusted merchants which was already over 5000 stores on it’s own!

But wait! There’s more!

If you think the number of merchants we added to our comparison shopping engine is large, you’re going to be blown away by how many products those 390+ new merchants carry.

The number of products added was over 2.4 million!

Now that’s what we call a HUGE update.

At Where2LookOnline you can easily browse products by category or if you have a better idea of what you’re shopping for, you can perform a keyword shopping search by typing keywords into the search bar located at the top of every page of the website.

Adding more trusted merchants and millions of products in categories from Baby Gear to Video Games is just another way the people here at Where2LookOnline are working to make it easier for online shoppers like you to find the best prices online. Remember, we don’t actually sell anything. We just let you know who’s selling it at the best price.

It’s Official! The new Comparison Shopping Engine is now up and running at Where2LookOnline.com. Our price comparison toolbar and all of our shopping widgets have been updated to incorporate the new comparison shopping engine. Unfortunately, we have decided to terminate our Top Searches widget and thus, we have also removed it from our price comparison toolbar.

Our regular users may have already noticed, that along with the shopping engine upgrade a few other changes where made. Most of the changes were minimal and were comprised of some slight style changes to the look of the page header because of the new search bar. The main site navigation menu was also added to the footer to provide even easier site navigation for our visitors.

Probably the most major changes where the layout of the Where2LookOnline Home Page and the addition of our new Category Map. The Category Map is a new dynamic page that displays links to every searchable category within the new comparison shopping engine. The links are grouped into 24 main categories which include several sub-categories. The sub-category lists for each main category are interactive and can be lengthen or shortened with a simple click at the visitors convenience. We also added a Category Map tab to the main site navigation menu located in the header and footer of each page, providing users an easy way to visit the Category Map from any page of Where2LookOnline.com.

We regret to inform our user base that due to unforeseen yet necessary changes being made behind the scenes, the Comparison Shopping Engine that powers Where2LookOnline.com will be temporarily unavailable while we make some necessary changes.

We assure you that we are working diligently to solve the unforeseen problems that have arisen with our Comparison Shopping Engine and this will only be a temporary disruption of our Comparison Shopping services. Unfortunately, this problem is affecting several of our shopping tools as well and they will also be unavailable for the time being until the problem is fixed and changes are completed.

Our Price Comparison Toolbar will still be available, although certain features that rely on our Comparison Shopping Engine may be removed or unavailable until the changes are completed. As well, our Hot Product Shopper Widget and our Video Game Deals Widget will continue to function to near capacity with only the search function being affected. Unfortunately, our Comparison Shopper Widget will be completely inoperable until the changes are complete.

We will, however, continue to post deals, coupons and sales alerts here on our blog as well as on Twitter @Where2Look to ensure that we continue to provide our users with the proper tools to find the best prices online during the absence of our comparison shopping service.

As always, the people here at Where2LookOnline.com are striving to bring you the highest quality comparison shopping tools online, so it may take some time to implement the changes. We currently do not have a time table for completion, but we will be providing updates here on our blog as we go. We wholeheartedly regret any inconvenience this may cause any of our site visitors and/or users of our comparison shopping tools. It is our hope that these issues will be resolved as quickly as possible.
